Imbabali Retreat & Venue features standard campsites positioned on the edge of a serene dam, providing campers with a beautiful and calming waterside setting.
The campsites are surrounded by manicured gardens and shady trees, creating a picturesque and inviting environment. Guests can bring their own caravans or tents to set up camp and enjoy the outdoor experience. The campsites are equipped with braai facilities, allowing visitors to enjoy outdoor cooking and dining. Additionally, the proximity to spotlessly clean ablution blocks with showers and wash-up areas ensures a comfortable and convenient stay.
Although the campsites do not have electricity, the Venue offers essential items for sale, including ice, wood, charcoal, firelighters, food, and drinks, ensuring that guests have everything they need for a pleasant stay. The cost is R150 per person per night, with a maximum of four people allowed per stand, making it an affordable and attractive option for families, couples, and even furry friends.
The foothills of the Magaliesberg Mountains provide an excellent setting for a variety of outdoor activities. Scenic walking paths wind through the landscape, offering opportunities for leisurely strolls and exploration. Hiking enthusiasts can take advantage of the trails that cater to different levels of difficulty, while birdwatchers will delight in the abundant avian life that calls the area home. Picnicking is also a favourite pastime, with many picturesque spots to choose from, whether by the dam or in the exquisite gardens.
One of the highlights of staying at Imbabali Retreat & Venue is the opportunity to witness the magic of sunsets behind the mountains. Most evenings promise breathtaking views as the sun dips below the horizon, painting the sky in vibrant hues and creating unforgettable memories.
Fishing enthusiasts can enjoy catch-and-release fishing for Bass, Carp, Tilapia, and Yellowfish in the dam. The dam also offers swimming opportunities and the chance to float on a tube. For those who enjoy water sports, kayaking and canoeing are available. Children are well-catered for with jungle gyms and other play areas. The Venue also boasts a large, sparkling pool, perfect for a refreshing swim.
Guests can also take short walks to the nearby river, providing another way to connect with nature and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
